located at 55 Main Street, Woonsocket,
RI. Referrals contact: 401-766-0900.
How
it works:
The Employment and Training Division training
programs for unemployed and underemployed adults focus on
preparing participants to enter the job market through the
development of computer, communication and other life skills
that are essential to success in today’s workplace.
The program partners with an extensive network of companies
in Northern Rhode Island where many graduates have been successfully
employed. The service is unique due to its continuing follow-up
with and support of participants for up to 18 months after
graduation and placement.
The division currently offers training in Computers/Customer Service, as well as Medical Billing & Coding.
Our newest adult training program is the Woonsocket Employment Network, a partnership designed to meet the unique workforce needs of both local businesses and employees in the Woonsocket area.
