GROW UP! Community Garden

GrowUp! (Gardening Resources of Woonsocket Utilizing People) is a community garden that promotes positive change, sustainability and community involvement. 2011 will be our 3rd planting season and we are very excited to see how the garden will grow this year.

Located adjacent to the Woonsocket Harris Public Library, with nearly 50 community garden plots available for "rent", the GrowUp Garden is a true community gem. This community resource can help YOU go green, give back and connect with your community!

The entire garden has been broken down into individual community garden plots for the 2011 season. Individual plots are available for rent for a nominal fee to any community member who wishes to grow food, herbs or flowers. As a condition of your rental contract it is requested that 10% of your plot's yield be donated back to the garden's general food bank donation.

The cost for renting plots is as follows: $30 for 5x33', $25 for 7x18' and $20 for a 4x10' raised bed. Please note: no one will be turned away from a garden plot due to a lack of ability to pay. Funds raised will be used to help defray the cost of the garden and related activities.
